Westerville Wine Shop Owners
Variety, Wine Tastings & Wine by the Glass
At Meza Wine Shop, we proudly stock a collection of 600 + wine labels and we continue to grow and expand our assortment. Our goal is to bring our customers a unique assortment of wines that are top quality and affordable. Whether you are looking for a great weeknight wine or a special bottle to commemorate an occasion, we have a variety of offerings that will fit your needs.
We often get asked how we chose the wines that we carry? Well this is where the fun comes in! We taste every bottle of wine that sits on our shelves. We look for quality, flavor, and great value. With so many labels out there, we like to think of our selection as special and hand selected, so that we can feel confident about every recommendation we make. If you do not see a favorite on our shelves, just ask! We will gladly seek out a wine for you and get you exactly what you are searching for.
“Our philosophy on wine is pretty straightforward. Unique, affordable wines that are of the quality yet attainable. There is no pretense here…drink what you enjoy. Our assortment continues to grow and we keep things fresh by offering an eclectic assortment that may change with the seasons or with our tastes. We welcome your feedback on bottles and look to offer our customers wines that they love.” - Tatjana and Jason Brown

About the Owners
I get asked all the time about what prompted us to start our business. There is really only one answer. Family.
I grew up around wine. Both my parents were born in Serbia and immigrated here in the 1970′s. My brother and I were raised with a lot of cultural influence from our Serbian heritage and it’s something I try to incorporate into my own family today. My dad has always made wine. He does not enter competitions or attempt to make enough to sell. He use to make wine along side my grandpa when he was alive, and continues to do so today. He makes enough to enjoy and to share with friends, which is exactly what it should be about. Enjoyment.
My husband Jason and I have enjoyed exploring the California wine country (just twice, and no, we don’t get to travel there all the time for work but the thought would be lovely!) We have always found a way to incorporate wine into trips or experiences together. Our thought was that we could bring a piece of those experiences home by starting Meza Wine Shop.
We both have a passion for small business, for food and wine, and for branding, building/repurposing and retail.
We are also proud parents to two amazing kids- Laila age 5 and Niko age 19 months. They have always been a part of our business. Many of our customers remember our daughter being at Meza from the time she was 6 weeks old!
My personal interest grew further into learning more about wine and how it crosses so many culturals. I love wine of all kinds, and love learning about the history of each wine region. I get asked all the time what is my favorite wine. I don’t have one! I love drinking different wines. Everything from dry Provence rosé to California Cabs to unique Portuguese reds to bubbles. I love using wine as a vehicle to explore. In 2011 I became a Certified Specialist of Wine and hope to continue my education in the future.
We love what Meza has evolved into.
We look forward to seeing the possibilities it continues to hold.
